WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO GO VINTAGE RACING WITH CSRG
Membership in CSRG - Membership dues are $100 annually for participating (Racing) membership.
At the very minimum, proof of previous vintage racing experience, participation in a professional 3-day racing school such as Jim Russell, Skip Barber, Bob Bondurant or SCCA is required. Completion of the third level of the Hooked on Driving program is also acceptable.
A current, valid medical card from CSRG or any Vintage Motorsports Council-affiliated club.
CSRG eligible cars
- Formula 1, 2, 3 or Formula Junior built through Dec. ’65
- Formula B, C, or V built through Dec. ’69
- Formula Ford built through Dec. ’72
- Production Sports or GT car built through Dec. ’67
- Sports racing car built through Dec. ’67
- FIA 2 Liter, Group 6 or Group 7 Sports Racing car built through Dec. ‘74
- Any car built for racing through Dec. ‘41
- Rare or unusual cars, constructed within the CSRG-eligible time period and at the discretion & invitation of the CSRG Board of Directors
Your car must be restored in a period correct manner, and must meet all of CSRG’s rules, tire specs, etc. Your car must be submitted for provisional approval at least 8 weeks prior to a desired entry to an event.

Vintage attitude – An attitude that supports the proposition that the cars and the drivers are irreplaceable and that everybody is just out there to have a great time. Drivers that “have to win” or need to prove something will not find a CSRG event to be a very compatible venue for their exploits.
